The Northcote Early Learning Centre outdoor environment provides endless opportunities for children to explore and learn in nature. We believe that well-designed and generous playgrounds stimulate the diversity of children’s play experience and contribute to their healthy development. All of our outdoor environments incorporate trees, shrubs, vines, flowers, grasses, edible fruits and vegetables—to connect children with nature and diversify their outdoor experience.

We have spent a lot of time building a unique collection of the best toys and resources that come from all over the world. We focus on high quality wooden toys that use natural oils, dyes, and beeswax to add colour. There are also lots of natural materials, so the children can interact with wood, stone, metals, clay, textiles and plants on a daily basis.

Our carefully designed menu is a real point of difference for Northcote Early Learning Centre. Unprocessed, whole, nutrient rich foods are used; NZ grown and locally sourced. For more information please see our Meals page.

We take the cleanliness of our environments very seriously. We have carefully thought out cleaning systems in place to reduce your childs contact with toxins. Our systems ensure your child has the very best opportunity of staying healthy and focuses on reducing the spread of any germs and illnesses.
